Seriously though I need to point something out here.
I'm not implying no one knows this already...but not enough is said about it....

Anger exists for a reason
1. Why are men judged more harshly than woman for losing their temper?
2. Developing tools to manage anger is brilliant BUT there is a difference between learning how to suppress your feelings ( not a good idea ) just to remain in an unhealthy situation and actually staying CALM when that's really what the situation requires.
Anger in response to being THREATENED is NORMAL

Basically....there is no point meditating 100hrs a day to cope with being in a shit situation as all you're doing then is denying your own needs.
Nor is it acceptable to expect someone else to stay super calm and tolerant of you and to NOT get angry with you if you are constantly harassing them in some way...no matter how subtle or "funny" or even justifiable ( i.e. stressed parent hitting a kid ) you think it is.
For example...I would expect and even hope that a child who is treated badly day in and day out my an adult would at some point get very angry with that adult indeed. Being a child...still developing emotionally...that anger isn't going to be that diplomatic now is it?? So, in this situation punishing the child for losing their shit would just be another layer of abuse.**
I've had to work on my temper.
I've told more people to Fuck Off than I can remember. But...I've learnt the difference between healthy and unhealthy anger.
I'm not perfect....who is? But realising the above helped me a lot.
